Japan is a country that has a culture like no other.  To understand Japan and the Japanese you need to let go of your own culture, throw logic to the wind and adopt a mindset that doesn’t always put the interests of your happiness and self worth first. Not being able to completely understand Japanese is a difficult problem for many foreigners living in Japan.  It makes establishing relationships very time consuming. Most relationships never get past a superficial level of politeness or friendliness. So, falling in love with a Japanese girl for who they are,  rather than what they look like doesn’t happen very often.

Finding that beautiful person, where a mutual understanding and trust is discovered doesn’t happen very often. I know so many guys married to Japanese girls who fill disconnected and empty in their relationship.
